MA micro automation has more than 50 years of experience in the development of special machines. Over the years, an internal special machine development department of Siemens AG in Bruchsal has envolved into an independently operating company on the market.

Today, the globally operating MA micro automation GmbH belongs as an independent company to MAX Automation SE based in Düsseldorf.

Integration into Rohwedder AG as business unit for micro-assembly automation technology.
June 2003
Foundation of Rohwedder Micro Assembly GmbH.
June 2010
Move to a new company building from Bruchsal to St. Leon-Rot.
June 2011
Foundation and development of the business unit ma optronic.
June 2012
Acquisition by MAX Automation SE.
June 2013
Expansion of office and production capacities by a further 1,500 sqm.
June 2014
Change of name to MA micro automation GmbH and welcomes the 100th employee.
June 2015
Expansion of the existing range of apprenticeships offered by the dual university in the industrial sector for mechatronics engineers, industrial mechanics and toolmakers.
June 2016
Foundation of MA micro automation Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. Increased number of employees at MAX Automation North America Inc. in the USA.
June 2017
Expansion of production capacities by a further 1,300 sqm. The number of employees has risen to 140.
June 2018
Foundation of MA Life Science GmbH. Expansion of the medical devices business area. Name change from MA micro automation Pte. Ltd. to Micro Automation LLP. Foundation of Micro Automation LLC in the USA.
November 2020
Expansion of production capacity by a further 2,100 m². Opening the new sales and service office of Micro Automation LLC in Alpharetta, GA, USA.
